The quickest way for you to reach your goals is to make sure that your habits (picking your nose, watching movies, whatever it might be) match your goals. Now, if achieving a band 7 in IELTS is your goal, then the habits we just mentioned probably aren’t helping. The habits of playing video games, or thinking negatively probably will not help either.
So, what do you do?
Take a minute to think about how you are spending your time. Are you doing everything possible to get the result your want as quickly as possible?
“But I work so much”, we hear you say. “I need some time to relax.”
Do you study at every opportunity? Do you play video games, surf, watch useless TV shows? We can promise that when you finally achieve your target IELTS band score, you will not think “I wish I had watched more TV. I wish I had got better at that video game.” You will also be happy that you studied so much and reached your goal.
We are not saynig that you are not working hard, but just that you could do more and that many people could work harder and smarter.
We work a lot too. One of our goals, our main goal you could say, is to help 1,000,000 achieve their target IELTS score. We want to achieve that goal in the next five years. Yes, we know, that is a pretty lofty goal, but that is the plan. Therefore, everything we do must be aligned with trying to achieve that.
Now, if we fail to reach our target and only help 900,000 people in the five years, we will be super happy. However, if you miss your target of a band 6, 6.5, or 7 (or whatever you need) in IELTS, then you will be disappointed.
What could you do?
We suggest that you study three times a day. For example, get up 30 minutes earlier and study IELTS Writing Task 1. Then, on your lunch break, spend a little time again on IELTS Writing Task 1. Then, do that again after dinner. This is a much better idea than studyng once or twice a week.
Of course, there is only so much that you actually can do and maybe you don’t have much free time. What you need is a plan. You need to know exactly what level you are now and what you need to do.
Luckily for you, we can get help you with your IELTS study plan.
